New PiezoStar® Small Cube IEPE Accelerometer
Kistler's new PiezoStar® small cube IEPE accelerometer Type 8766A(x) offers
best-in-class accuracy of thermal sensitivity shift performance.
The Kistler Group has announced the global market launch of Kistler Type 8766A(x), a triaxial PiezoStar accelerometer in a very small cube with 3,7 g mass, designed for accurate measurement of frequency events from 0,5 … 10 000 Hz. The extremely low thermal sensi-tivity shift of –0,005 %/K allows use under changing temperature regime with high precision. The extremely stiff PiezoStar crystal sensing element provides a flat frequency response with no slope over the entire usable frequency range in contrast to soft piezoelectrics, which improves acceleration level measurement tremendously. It is one of the only accelerometers with 3 different mounting thread holes in each axis for flexible mounting capability and frequency response calibration without
any adapter in a tight back-to-back calibration.
Available now in 250 and 500 g range, the Kistler Type 8766A… incorporates a shear loaded piezoelectric PiezoStar crystal sensing element, with internal Piezotron® charge converter matching most current front end systems with constant current line drive capability.
